PROCUREMENT OF ETHIOPIA ELECTRIC POWER HEADQUARTER’S

BUILDING PROJECT EXCAVATION AND SHORING WORK

1. Ethiopian Electric power (EEP) has budget to be used for the procurement of Ethiopia Electric Power Head quarter’s Building project Excavation and shoring work through national competitive bidding (NCB).
2. Ethiopian Electric power now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for procurement of Ethiopia Electric Power Head Quarter’s Building Project Excavation and shoring work Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ethiopian Electric power and inspect the Bidding Documents at the address give below from 8:00 AM to 5:00PM, Monday to Friday excluding weekends and public holidays. 3. Bidders should have the following specific experience or capabilities (I) Financial Capability

1. The bidder shall submit of audited financial statement or if not required by the law of the bidder’s country, other financial statements acceptable to the purchase’s for the last five (5) years to demonstrate the current soundness of the bidder’s financial position and its prospective long term profitability. In the event of a joint venture, each party must meet this requirement
2. The bidder shall submit if the average annual turnover calculated as total certified payments receive for contracts in progress or completed within the last 5 years must at least 600,000,000 ETB. (ii) Technical capacity The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that it meets the following experience requirement (s):

1. The Bidder shall have a minimum of five years’ experience starting from 1^st January 2019 under construction contracts in the role of contractor, Joint Venture partner or sub-Contractor
2. The Bidder shall furnish, documentary evidence to demonstrate that it has successfully completed at least two (2) contract within the last 5 years, with a at least 600,000,00 ETB.

(ii) Technical capacity

The Bidder shall furnish documentary evidence to demonstrate that it meets the following experience requirement(s):

1. The Bidder shall have a minimum of five years’ experience starting from 1^st January 2019 under construction contracts in the role of contractor, Joint Venture partner of sub-Contractor
2. The Bidder shall furnish, documentary evidence to demonstrate that is has successfully completed at least two (2) contract with the last 5 years, with a value of at least 200,000,000 Ethiopian Birr, or one (1) contract within a value of at least 400,000,000 Ethiopian Birr that have been successfully and substantially completed and that is similar to the proposed works (the work scope shall be excavation and shorting work).

4 A completes set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000. The method of payments shall be in cash or cashier’s check or through telegraphic transfer to EEP Transmission Construction A/C No. 1000252665203, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE), Arada Ghiorgis Branch starting from 11 January 2024.

5 Bids must be delivered before the closing date and time to the above mentioned address. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of Bank Guarantee as mentioned below. Late bids shall be rejected.

6 Bid must be delivered to the above address on or before 2:00 PM on 05 February 2024 and All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in 4,500,000.00 Ethiopian Birr (Four Million Five Hundred Thousand ETB).

7 Bid will be opened in the presence of the bidder’s or bidders representative who choose to attend on 05 February 2024 at 2:30PM.

8 The Ethiopian Electric power reserves the right to reject any or all bid
