Invitation for International Bid

1. Addis Ababa City administration Transport bureau Addis Ababa Light Rail Transport Service Enterprise (AACATB AALRTSE) would like to invite interested and qualified bidders for the procurement of light rail operation production materials with the open International competitive tendering procedures.
2. AACATB.AALRTSE invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the supply and delivery of goods mentioned below.

3. Bidding will be conducted in accordance with the open  International competitive tendering procedures contained in the Public Procurement Proclamation of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and AACATB,AALRTSE procurement Directives.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from AACATB, and AALRTSE and inspect the bidding document at the address given below at 8(a) from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm working days.

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders at the address given below
at 8(a) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of 500 Birr. The method of payment will be in cash.

6. Bid must be delivered to the address below at 8(b) on or before 10:00 am on May 17, 2023.

7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security for every Lot in the form of CPO or Unconditional Bank guarantee from a recognized Bank as stated in the table above.

a) Bidders who quote in other currencies shall submit the amount of equivalent of the Ethiopian birr exchange rate of (the National Bank of Ethiopia) at the closing date of bid submission.

b) Foreign bidder's bank guarantee should be confirmed by a bank in Ethiopia.

c) The validity period of the bid security should be 120 days after the bid opening date.

8. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders' representatives who choose to attend at the address below at 8 (b) at 10:30 am on May 17, 2023.

9. AACATB,AALRTS reserves the right to reject any or all bids and any items on the bid.
