AND MAINTENANCE OF CORE INSURANCE AND ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE

MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROVIDERS FOR AN INSURER'S MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

DESCRIPTION

Awash Insurance S.C (AISC) is a company under formation to operate General and Long Term Insurance business with an authorized capital of Birr 300 million under a subscription and possibly paid up capital of at least 120 million Birr.

The Company plans to launch operation by the beginning of next fiscal year. Accordingly, it anticipates acquiring and implementing an Integrated Core Insurance Financial Management Information Software (IIFMS) that meets its objective we plan to provide efficient, effective, and competitive insurance services to its valued customers. The system shall help to integrate all back and front office processes like Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance, Financial Management, the senior management, and also the shareholders, intermediaries, and customers, through the Integrated Core Financial Management Information System package.

Accordingly, Awash Insurance S.C is seeking such an Integrated Core Insurance Financial Management Information Software (IIFMS) provider either locally or abroad (having a local agent) to respond to this expression of interest, in order to be shortlisted for the subsequent formal bid of the said system.

Interested software providers are expected to provide the following lists:

• Certificate of incorporation/registration for legal entities/, renewed trade license,
• TIN and VAT registration.
• Company Profile including Capital, manpower, experience in the area, etc.
• The type of software to be provided, in particular respective (Integrated General and Long Term insurance, financial and related software)
• If there has been no standard software, how and for how long period of time does it take to develop new software that meets the company's requirements
• On the strength of the software security/cyber security features
• Estimated cost and duration of the implementation period (Go Live)
• Any system demonstration (if any for further information only)
• Any product on top of the integrated core insurance software developed so far
•  Ethiopian Experience in providing the respective software.
• Any other relevant information

Therefore, Awash Insurance S.C, request interested software providers to respond to this EOI within 21 working days (Monday to Saturday) starting from the date of first publication in this newspaper.
