Alliance Microfinance AS would now like to appoint a qualified and experienced Legal Firm (Consultant)

REQUEST FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST IN NATIONAL COMPETITIVE BID

1. Background

Alliance Microfinance AS, in partnership with Norwegian Church Aid, Bakken & Back, and East African Holding SC (collectively, the "Consortium Partners"), wishes to establish Ethiopia's first digital Agri microfinance institution ("MFI"). The MFI is a key component in a project called "Ethiopia Connect", and will offer financial services to smallholder farmers, SMEs, and rural households.

2. Objective

The Consortium Partners have recently completed a commercial and project due diligence report led by an international consultant to establish the MFI. They would now like to appoint a qualified and experienced legal firm (the "Consultant") in Ethiopia to undertake:

• Drafting and agreeing Heads of Terms amongst Consortium Partners for this transaction
• Managing and handling the pre-application and application process with the National Bank of Ethiopia
• Drafting and agreeing to Definitive Documents amongst Consortium Partners for this transaction

3. Eligibility

The Terms of Reference ("TOR") for the bid will be sent only to those who shall fulfill and provide evidence of the following requirements:

• Currently renewed relevant trade license and Certificate of registration
• Experience of at least 10 years in legal consultancy in Ethiopia

4. Closing Date

All interested parties shall submit their Expression of Interest ("EOI") on or before July 04, 2022, at 5:00 PM, East Africa time via yesu.girma@amas.as. Late submission will not be considered.

The Consortium Partners reserves the right to cancel the bid fully or partially at any time.
